Either way, it’s been confirmed that Alan Wake II is arriving on PC and the Xbox Series X/S. Now we’re unsure of when another announcement will be coming. However, the cancellation of E3 2022 has changed their plans and schedule. Remedy is looking to make Alan Wake II its own take on survival horror, and if the trailer is an indication of the final product, the game is sure to be an intense, terrifying experience. Remedy Entertainment had confirmed they would provide additional details on Alan Wake II by E3 2022. Perhaps the biggest announcement Lake has made about Alan Wake II so far, though, is that it will be a survival horror game - a first for Remedy Entertainment. Though the first game had plenty of horror elements, it was an action game above all else. Lake has noted, however, that while playing the original Alan Wake and Control will provide backstory on Alan Wake II, players will not need to play either of them to understand the new game. While Remedy's creative director Sam Lake discussed the Remedy Connected Universe when announcing the game, he gave no details on how Control would connect to the narrative of Alan Wake II, if at all. Little is currently known about Alan Wake II, as the trailer gave few hints towards how the game will feel to play or what is actually happening.
